a better
way to
choose
materials
the msi showcase is a curated design space created to make remodeling decisions easier, not overwhelming.
instead of wandering through acres of displays or driving to five different showrooms, our clients work with a carefully selected collection of materials we know perform beautifully in real homes.
every cabinet door, tile, countertop, and fixture in this space is something we trust enough to install in our own projects.
Remodeling Decisions Shouldn’t Feel Like a Maze
many traditional showrooms are designed to display everything.
hundreds of tile options.
dozens of cabinet lines.
rows of faucets.
endless countertop samples.
while that might seem helpful, it often creates decision fatigue.
clients leave feeling more overwhelmed than when they arrived.
too many options can turn an exciting project into a frustrating guessing game.
and many still need to visit several different vendors just to gather the pieces needed for one project.
the msi approach
A Curated Design Experience
the msi showcase was created to make remodeling decisions easier.
many traditional showrooms try to display everything. hundreds of tile options, rows of faucets, and dozens of cabinet lines can quickly become overwhelming.
we took a different approach.
instead of presenting endless choices, the showcase focuses on materials that naturally work well together and fit the types of homes we remodel every day in central new jersey.
you will see cabinet styles, tile selections, countertops, flooring, and plumbing fixtures that have been carefully chosen based on decades of real projects and client preferences.
each piece in the room was selected with intention so that finishes, colors, and materials coordinate easily.
the goal is simple. when the right options are placed together, good design becomes clearer and decisions become much easier to make.

the design screen
A Design Studio, Not Just a Display
the showcase is not just a place to look at samples. it is where practical design conversations happen.
at the center of the room is a large design screen where we review layouts, explore product collections, and look through manufacturer resources together.
as we talk through your project, we can pull up cabinet configurations, tile patterns, product specifications, and visual references while you compare them with the physical samples in the room.
this combination of digital design tools and real materials makes the process much more interactive.
some clients like a lot of guidance as they work through selections. others arrive with a clear vision and simply want help refining the details. we love both and everything in between. the showcase allows us to support the process in whatever way feels most comfortable for you.
many manufacturers now keep their full collections online rather than in printed catalogs. the design screen allows us to access those resources instantly while still working hands on with the materials.
instead of trying to imagine how selections might work together, you can see the design take shape step by step.
it turns material selection into a collaborative process.

behind the scenes
why we call it the showcase
the name showcase was inspired by a little television nostalgia.
for decades, the price is right has ended with the famous showcase showdown, a moment when contestants see a collection of prizes displayed together and try to guess their value. it is a format that has lasted for generations because it taps into something familiar and fun.
we liked the idea of bringing that same spirit into our space.
a showroom is often designed to show everything.
a showcase, on the other hand, is about presenting the right pieces together so you can see how they work as a collection.
that is exactly what we set out to create here.
there is also a bit of nostalgia built into the room itself. if you have visited our office before, you may remember the toilet terrace, another small tribute to design history and the quirky side of the plumbing world.
the showcase continues that theme, mixing craftsmanship, creativity, and a little personality.
unlike the television version, there is no guessing the price here. our goal is simply to help you see how the right pieces come together to create a space that feels just right for your home.
come on down.
and while you are here, remember bob barker’s famous closing line. please help control the pet population. have your pets spayed or neutered.
built by our remodelers
what makes the showcase especially meaningful to us is that much of it was built by our own team.
our remodelers did not just install flooring or cabinetry in this space. they treated it like a project of their own, approaching it with the same level of care, creativity, and problem solving that they bring into our clients’ homes every day.
throughout the room, there are details that you would not find in a typical showroom. not because they are expensive or flashy, but because they were thoughtfully made.
one example is the custom window valance, built using seven different types of trim that had been saved from previous projects. each piece had a different profile, a different history, and a different purpose. instead of letting those materials go to waste, they were combined into something entirely new.
it is not something you can order from a catalog. it is something that had to be made.
A Small Example of a Bigger Idea
reuse and material sustainability are still surprisingly underutilized in the remodeling industry.
beautiful materials are often discarded simply because they came from a previous project.
the showcase includes small examples of how those materials can be reimagined and given a second life, something we are always looking for opportunities to do when the right situation arises.
for us, the space is not just about displaying products.
it is also a reflection of the craftsmanship, resourcefulness, and creativity that our msi team brings to every project.
the frame and mantle surrounding the design screen were also hand built from reclaimed materials that came from past jobs, each piece chosen and fitted together by our team.
and then there are the small details that tend to make people look twice.
incorporated into the mantle are shapes that might feel familiar at first glance. and no, they are not horseshoes. they are subtle nods to something a little more on brand for us.
it is a small, slightly unexpected detail that reflects the personality behind the work and the kind of creativity that does not always show up in traditional showroom environments.
these elements are a reminder that the same creativity, resourcefulness, and sense of humor our team brings into our clients’ homes also lives inside our own workspace.
the showcase is not just a place to select materials. it is a reflection of how we think, how we build, and how we approach every project.
